LESSON LEARNT IN THE HARD WAY >:(

Last month brulee & I bought a 3D2N Free & Easy BANGKOK Package deal from Streetdeal at $195nett. We are planning to go for a 4D3N BKK trip for the longest time ever since our last HK trip last Oct & my last BKK trip which was like almost 2yrs ago :(

Anyway back to my deal bought. We tot it was a rather not bad deal, since we can fly anytime from 11 Jul 2012 - 31 Mar 2013;  & we just need to avoid Peak Period from 20 Nov 2012 - 06 Jan 2013 & 10-16 Feb 2013. No additional cost if we fly on weekend & PH!! No additional cost for Airline Taxes, Government & Hotel Taxes. Just need to top up $57nett per pax for any extension per room per night. And also additional charges for luggage check in & seats allocation. These 3 items, though optional, are definitely a MUST HAVE for me, without a doubt!! A 3D2N BKK trip is just too rush!! 4D3N is just nice :) And my main purpose of gg BKK is to SHOPPPPPP, how do you expect me to hand-carry back my loots only?? Andddddd I really prefer wings seating on the plane lahs~!

But the frustrating thing is we need to redeem our deal manually within the Redemption Period from 11 Jun - 6 Oct; meaning we need to book our flight & hotel tickets ourselves & NOT by the agency >:( In short, good slots are based on first come first serve basis. Ma chiam like blogshops launches lohs!!!!! So brulee & I alrdy have shortlisted some hotels as back up plan in the event we couldn't get the hotel as stated in our deal, we will book in ourselves. Therefore, brulee & I being the true kiasu Singaporean, login to the redemption link to purchase our tickets at 7.30am SHARP. By they way, brulee still took leave, partly due to this BKK trip redemption thing lohs -.- But as expected, flight tickets aren’t an issue, we are able to get our preferred flight timing. But the hotel stated is some low-class ulu 3stars hotels, not the hotel stated in our deal!! HOW CAN THAT BEEEEEEEEEEEEE?? *somehow reminds me of how I camp for LB launches with an empty cart :SSSSS*

Called up the agency at 8am SHARP, cursing & swearing!! So with all the frustration, urgency, tiredness & anger, we finally manage to book our tickets after 3 bloooooody looooooooooong hours!!! This is only after we made 2-3 calls to the agency & some hiccups during the transaction payment. CHEAP DEAL AGONY #3

Now the issue doesn’t ends here!! We only rec’d the confirmation email from the agency with our booking reference no. & the 3rd party transaction pymt email indicating that our pymt for our extension per day is rec’d. However we have yet to rec’d the flight tickets & hotel details for checking in!!! It will only be sent to us after 7-14 working days. #FML CHEAP DEAL AGONY #4

Only after receiving all the details then I’m able to call Jetstar toll-free hotline PERSONALLY to request for baggage check-in & seats allocation, with another additional cost >:((( CHEAP DEAL AGONY #5

OMFGGGGGGG…I feel like killing myself for causing so much trouble for brulee & myself, when my ultimate intention is to just have a trip for both of us this yr at a affordable rate (since we are now saving for our hse & there is no gd promo even for the budget airline for wkend slots :( ) Now I know, cheap stuffs (come to think of it, not as if my deal is really cheap :/) always comes with a HIGH COST & a lot of inconveniences caused!! CHEAP DEAL AGONY #6

On a side note, hope everything will be smooth for our BKK trip. Just gotta wait for the confirmation details now :((
